34th Annual Sertoma 8-Man All-Star Game

On Saturday, June 18th the 34th Annual Sertoma 8-Man All-Star game took place at Adams Central in Hastings. The game was host to some of the best 8-man football players in the state. The afternoon had many defensive stops, and a lone score in the first quarter by the West team was enough to hold off the East.

The touchdown came in the first quarter with 7:17 left on the clock. Zach Call (Mullen) rushed for 2 yards and Sawyer Monroe (Silver Lake) kicked the extra point.

The offensive MVPs for the game were Derreck Eastman (Giltner) for the East team and Jacob Jensen (Overton) for the West team. The defensive MVPs were Cody Stalp (West Point CC) for the East team and Garrett Reese (Pleasanton) for the West team.

At halftime, the 2010 coaches and most valuable players were recognized. Also, Daren Hatch from Arapahoe was honored for his service as an officer for NEMFCA. Hatch was the secretary from 2008 – 2011. His work will be truly missed. Thank you Coach Hatch for you years of service.
