Denis Reese (Loomis), President
Coach Reese became the President in 2008, and served as Vice President from 1995-97.  He was an Assistant Coach on the 1989 West team and the Head Coach for the 1997 West team.  Coach Reese has been the head coach at Loomis since 1981.   He states, "The reason I became an officer is to serve the schools of Nebraska 8-man football so that the coaches and their players get to have the opportunity to show their abilities and talent".

Coach Reese's main job as an officer is to make arrangements for the Sertoma game and to set up the Kansas/Nebraska game.  


Lance Howitt (Stuart), Vice President
Coach Howitt began his first term as Vice President in the spring of 2010. He has been a coach for 22 years, and has spent the last 8 years as the varsity head coach at Stuart. When asked why he chose to be Vice President, Coach Howitt stated, “I think 8-man football in Nebraska is a very special and worthwhile cause and I just wanted to help anyway possible. I also think that the coaches in the association are some of the finest people I have ever been around in my life”.

Coach Howitt’s roles as Vice President involves organizing the spring clinic and helping with the Sertoma and Nebraska vs. Kansas All-Star games.


Isaac Frecks (Alma), Secretary
Coach Frecks took over the secretary position in the fall of 2011.   When asked why he was interested in the position, he stated, “ I feel like this is a great association and I wanted to help out any way that I could. I look forward to working with the officers and the members of NEMFCA.”.

Coach Freck's position involves creating clinic brochures, keeping track of registrations, and all-star selections. Coach Frecks has been coaching at Alma since 2005 and in his spare time enjoys hunting and farming.


Theron Troxel (Freeman), Treasurer
Coach Troxel started his first year as Treasurer in the spring of 2010. Coach Troxel has been coaching at Freeman High School for the last 8 years, and was interested in being an officer. He states, "I enjoy working with coaches and athletes, and thought I had some talents to offer to NEMFCA. I have enjoyed working with NEMFCA and look forward to serving my term as treasurer".

His roles as treasurer involves membership, selection committee, and maintaining the website. In his spare time, Coach Troxel enjoys playing golf and working on electronics.
